A Phased Approach to Building a Hypothetical Pipeline Network for CO2 Transport During CCUS
Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) continues to receive considerable attention as an approach to reduce CO2 emissions. Unfortunately, many of the large CO2 sources are not located near appropriate geologic storage areas such as enhanced oil recovery sites, enhanced coalbed methane recovery sites, or deep saline formations. It is likely that a pipeline network would be needed to transport the CO2 from the sources to the storage sinks. The PCOR Partnership developed a methodology to estimate how a CO2 pipeline network might be built in the future.View/Download Document
