Cook Inlet Region Low Carbon Power Generation with Carbon Capture, Transport, and Storage Feasibility Study

This study evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of constructing a greenfield power generation plant in northern Cook Inlet region, Alaska, with carbon capture, transport, and geologic storage of carbon dioxide (CO2) in a soon to be depleted Cook Inlet natural gas reservoir. The power plant is assumed to be located at the mine mouth of the Flatlands Energy Corporation's (Flatlands Energy) coal lease near the Railbelt electricity grid and near prospective CO2 storage sites.
